Are you experiencing physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms related to a trauma or period of trauma? You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, or emotional numbness. You may be experiencing tiredness, difficulty sleeping, or tension. You may be experiencing feelings of guilt or shame, avoidance, or mood swings. Trauma can be any event that significantly impacts your life, big or small. Whether you are experiencing one symptom or many, you deserve healing.
How I can help?
I chose to get trained in EMDR early in my therapy career because I personally experienced its benefits during my own healing journey. I truly believe it helps get to the root of the issue and can lead to profound healing. If you're curious about my experience with EMDR, you can check it out here. EMDR helps us focus on the memories that trigger trauma responses and works to reduce the emotional and physical sensations tied to them.
Notes on EMDR Therapy & FAQ’s on Intensives
I am trained in EMDR and advanced EMDR techniques. I also hold a trauma certificate (CCTS-I) so I can better assist from a trauma-informed lens. EMDR can be done in regular 50-minute sessions over time, in an intensive format, or a mix of both. You can find the process for EMDR therapy here.
